The trend of having a DJ for weddings has been fast catching up and almost every couple nowadays prefers to have the wedding reception party with a good DJ instead of a live band. There are many reasons for this. Having a single band restricts the choice of music and if everyone does not like the music, then the party would be a failure. Since it is their special day, it is important that the DJ should have a playlist of songs which have some relevance in their life. When the playlist is prepared, the DJ needs to remember to start the party with a slow romantic number so that it sets the mood for the reception. It should be something which has significance in the couple’s lives.

In an outdoor wedding reception party, there are greater chances that the party will be a bit livelier. So having a huge choice of songs at your disposal is a good idea as there will hundreds of dedications requested by the people invited. Also, if there are different wedding reception programs, then it is better to have different sets of songs for each so that the mood remains upbeat and the same songs do not play over and over again. The main idea should be to have fun and since it is a wedding reception, there need to be romantic numbers all over the place!
